Vegetables with Pepita Dip

This dip or spread, known as Zicil-P'ak, is a classic pre-Columbian dish. The name is a combination of the Mayan words for pumpkin seeds and tomato. The ground seeds are softened while marinating in the tomato-chili mixture, giving this delicious concoction a satisfying texture. Serve as an appetizer with fresh vegetables and tortilla chips before a festive Mexican dinner.

Delicious Dip with a little Kick!
January 5, 2014
I made this Dip for Halloween before trick or treating, everyone loved it. Great way to use your pumpkin seeds after carving!! My husband asked me to make it again the week after. Great with tortilla chips & vegetables.
Pros: Quick, Healthy, Will Make Again
