Tomato Tarts with Basil and Fresh Goat Cheese

For the best flavor, prepare these tarts at the height of summer when all of the colorful heirloom tomatoes are at the farmers' market. Select a goat cheese with a rich, creamy consistency and a full, tangy though not overly assertive flavor.

So great, so simple.

Really loved this as did our guests! We used fresh garden cherry tomatoes, nice olive oil, and not quite all of the tomatoes called for, PERFECT.
Pros: Healthy, Appearance, Will Make Again

Never any left!!!

I've made this tart a dozen times or more. There's never any left. It's a little messy so not great for a party, but perfect for an app at the table before main course. Easy to make and parts can be made ahead. Recommend making this only using top-notch tomatoes!!! The best you can find!!!
Pros: Quick, Easy, Appearance, Will Make Again
