December 1, 2013
The box of quinoa/red rice mix was tasteless. The afternoon of Thanksgiving, trying to give some flavor, I added condensed portabella mushroom soup concentrate, sage, dried apricots, sauteed onions, carrots and celery and 1 fresh, chopped apple, for crunch, and finally, since my guests were vegetarians, homemade duxelle, a chopped mushroom wine mix, that gave it the rich flavor i desired.
