Candied orange peel is available in many specialty-food shops. To make your own, remove the peels in strips from 2 oranges. Boil the peels in water for 5 minutes, drain and rinse. Boil 1 cup sugar with 1/2 cup water and 3 Tbs. light corn syrup, stirring. Add the peel and simmer for about 1 hour. Drain and let cool slightly on a wire rack, then roll in sugar.
