Pasta Shells with Cauliflower

The cauliflower can be cooked in advance and stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. It's a good idea to save the cooking water, too, as it will add flavor to the dish. Boil the pasta in the reserved cauliflower water when you are ready to complete this recipe.

Some good flavours but missing ...something
March 22, 2012
To be fair, I did not go out and buy marjoram and instead substituted dry basil. My husband and I pondered what could make the recipe better. It needs a mid-note. The heat of the pepper and the onions provide a top-note of flavour and the noodles and cauliflower provide the lower end. Our thoughts were that a mid-note could be provided by tuna, white wine, or a cheese sauce. Not sure. But I will not be fixing this again.
Also, besides the bread crumb topping, all of the ingredients become the same texture in cooking.
Pros: Healthy
Cons: Texture, Taste
