Quick Linguine with Clams

Medium-size shrimp can be substituted for the clams. Peel and devein 1 1/2 lb. shrimp, leaving the tails intact. Cook the shrimp with the garlic until they turn opaque, about 3 minutes, then finish the recipe as directed.

Quick Linguine with Clams

This is a fabulous recipe for Manila clams, I like using the small ones. The recipe is easy to make, and I add fresh chives, it's also good with a bit of basil, a little butter, and a hint of finely grated parmesan. But you can't go wrong following this recipe. If you find that you need to add more liquid to the pasta once everything has been tossed together,, you can add some of the clam broth or nectar, and milk. This is also great with angel hair pasta instead of linguini.
