Fusilli with Tomato-Basil Sauce

This basic tomato sauce pairs perfectly with almost every pasta shape, from farfalle to ziti. The recipe makes enough tomato sauce for dinner tonight plus 2 additional dishes (see related recipes at left). Storage tip: Extra tomato-basil sauce can be stored in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or in the freezer for up to 3 months. When reheating the sauce, stir in an additional 1 to 2 Tbs. olive oil.

I was looking for a good , different, yet simple past dish - and this is it! great texture and flavor! I used my favorite organic canned tomatoes and the paste that comes in a tube! I also added some chopped up , no casing, sausage. My husband and I loved it! and we will serve it to company!
