Fettuccine Bolognese

A robust ragu gains in flavor by spending hours simmering in a slow cooker. This recipe yields a big batch so you can eat it for dinner tonight and freeze the rest to use in other dishes (see related recipes at left). Let the remaining Bolognese sauce cool to room temperature. Store in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Delicious taste,, definitely a keeper

I just received the 4-qt All-clad slow cooker from WS and this was the first recipe I tried. I made one change - I seared a piece of beef shank in the cooker and added it to the rest of the recipe.
The end result was a thick, luscious sauce with great depth. And I loved the fact I didn't have to keep checking it. I set it for 4 hours. We went out to a concert and when we got home, the sauce was finished, holding on "warm."
Pros: Will Make Again, smells wonderful

Stayed home from work sick today, and really craved a good home cooked meal. I was able to make this simple recipe, and throw it in the crock pot while I got some rest. So easy and delicious!!! Would definitely make this again!
