Traditionally sold by sidewalk vendors, the puffy pull-apart treats known as egg waffles are a favorite in Hong Kong. It's easy to make these waffles at home using our specially designed pan.

Fun breakfast for the kids

I added 2 teaspoons of custard powder to add a little flavor to the recipe, but they turned out great and my 2 year olds loved the fun shape. There were quite a few dirty dishes and it was a little complicated for breakfast, but overall was very satisfied with the end result.
Pros: Kid-Friendly, Appearance, Will Make Again

A waste of syrup.....

Personally I feel everything is wrong with the end product, taste texture and shape.
I love the stove top simplicity, made in USA, and control of the crispy finish but in the end there has to be more than a plate of egg shaped balls. May be it's just me.
