Country-Style Pasta and Bean Soup

Serve with crusty artistan-style bread for a warming, simple meal. To make this soup vegetarian, use a meatless sausage and substitute vegetable broth for the chicken broth.

Fabulous!!
January 10, 2015
I made this soup last night (from the WS "Pasta" Made Fast cookbook) because it sounded okay and we happened to have all the ingredients in the house.
Well, it was more than okay, it was fabulous and my husband thought so, too. I used one can of cannellini beans and one of black beans because that is what I had on hand. Other than that I followed the recipe.
It also took virtually no time and dirtied virtually no dishes! My idea of a keeper. I know I'll make this recipe again and again.
Pros: Quick, Good Value, Easy, Appearance, Impressive

Wonderful and easy

This recipe is delicious. Even better the next day. I used ditilini pasta #45 (small) and kielbasa. My only mistake was not using a tall stock pot. My error because the recipe calls for 9 cups of stock! It makes a lot of soup for more than 6 servings. Well worth the effort. Will make again.
Pros: Yield, Quick, Good Value, Easy, Appearance, Adaptable, Impressive, Will Make Again
