Coddled Eggs

Coddling is a gentle method of cooking that produces soft-cooked eggs. Perfect for a simple brunch, coddled eggs can be assembled the night before, then cooked in the oven just before serving, as described in this recipe.

I made these for my family for breakfast just this morning. They adored these eggs. They are incredibly easy to make. Just one sticking point, egg coddlers aren't easy to get hold of. I couldn't even find them for sale on this site. However, if you do have coddlers, you'll find making these a breeze. All you do is put butter, then crack the eggs into the coddler on top of that, then put whatever else you want with them. What could be simpler to prepare?
