Brazilian Shellfish Soup

This soup combines some of the most vibrant flavors of the Brazilian pantry: coconut, tomatoes, garlic, lemon juice, cilantro, peanuts and saffron. If you like, add chunks of meat from 2 small lobsters or 1 Dungeness crab, cooked and cracked, after adding the salt and pepper. Simmer until heated through, then continue as directed.

Sophisticated One-dish Heaven
December 24, 2012
It's Christmas Eve and for the fourth year in a row I'm coming to WS to get this recipe. Today, I decided to stop and write a review ;-)
Seafood for Christmas is tradition for our family. This recipe is perfect because:
a.) It's flavor is highly sophisticated, rich and balanced.
b.) It's the perfect one-dish meal to serve for celebrations to make things elegant yet simple.
c.) You can whip it up in no time on the fly, but is just as AWESOME when it's day old.
Serve with a crusty baguette and glass of wine. This broth is so good it could be its own bread dip. Yum Yum!
Pros: Yield, Quick, Easy, Appearance, Adaptable, Impressive, Will Make Again, make-ahead
Cons: Cost
