We have homemade pizza every Friday night. This one is very popular. We have made this for guests as well and received rave reviews. When we order BBQ chicken pizza out at a restaurant we never feel that it is better than what we make at home. The sauce for this recipe is not overly sweet (which we prefer). Another bonus is that the pizza is simple to make and comes together quickly.

I first tasted this at the in-store technique class on pizza. The basic dough recipe is easy and excellent. I learned that I probably needed to preheat my stone thoroughly (at least 45 minutes at 450). I made this in the oven rather than the grill and it took about 8-9 minutes on the stone. I was totally reeled-in on making this when the "chef" in the store suggested it was a great use for leftover rotisserie chicken---what a great idea! He also suggested "marinating" the shredded chicken in a couple tablespoons of the BBQ pizza sauce and that was a great idea as well. Half of the rotisserie chicken would have been enough for 3 of these pizzas. Enjoy!
