I bought the dinner plates, dessert plates and bowls before Christmas. I used them daily throughout the holiday and they are beautiful! Howevers, they are more fragile than I would have expected. Two of the plates chipped on the edge very easily. I have other dinnerware from WS which has lasted for years without any problems.

I read that these plates do not fit in the dish washer. If you turn them around and lean them toward the back they will fit. I did notice a few "spots" in the glaze when they arrived but have not seen any cracks. They are beautiful, but I will wait to give them a five after they have been run through the dish washer several times.

The plates are beautiful but fragile. I ordered 2 more this year and both were broken during shipment. WS readily replaced them but I have not received them. Not a durable as accompanying pieces.

I wanted the 12 Days of Christmas Dinner Plate for awhile. I finally went and bought them and I am really disappointed. The dinner plate is too large for my dishwasher.
Is anyone else experiencing this? I would love to keep them but not putting them in the dishwasher is not an option.

I was so thrilled to see these plates back. Called several times this past month and they were not available. Checked today, low and behold, they were listed so I ordered 7 more. They are beautiful and large--the picture doesn't do it justice. I originally bought two at the store thinking I could get more...they sold out quickly. Called last year and got the last three out of 500...so I jumped on it this year. Glad my collection is now complete--have everything else except these beautiful plates. If you want it, buy it quickly. Thanks WS for bringing it back another year!!

I purchased these beautiful plates in November 2008 and used them the whole month of December. When unpacking them from my hutch for use in 2009 I noticed 7 of 12 plates glazing had cracked like a spider web. William Sonoma store gladly refunded my money.
