Kyocera Revolution Ceramic Professional Chef's Knife

Made in Japan of an advanced ceramic, the blade of this full-sized chef's knife holds its exceptionally sharp edge up to ten times longer than steel and won't react with foods. The knife's remarkably lightweight, ergonomic design reduces fatigue during repetitive chopping, mincing and dicing. Its long 7" blade makes it a versatile performer for larger cutting tasks. Blade is made from zirconium oxide, a state-of-the-art ceramic that holds a razor-sharp edge far longer than traditional steel. Cuts through fresh produce and boneless meats with remarkable ease and precision. Weighing less than a comparable steel knife, this ceramic knife is very nimble and easy to maneuver. Nonreactive blade won't discolor foods or affect flavors. Resin handle is contoured for a comfortable grip. 7" blade. Made in China (blade manufactured in Japan).

Extremely sharp

One of my favorite knives. You can't chop wood with it, you can't cut through bones, and you can't toss it into the sink with a bunch of dishes. If you treat it with care (hand wash and dry), and use if for what it was designed for (it has a specific purpose, like any knife), it will stay sharp and be a workhorse for a long time.
Pros: Sharpness, holds its edge
Cons: Fragile

These knives are total junk they stain and chip. I used them a couple times and all are chipped and ruined! Not wasting time to send back getting stainless knives instead.
Cons: Weight, Fragile, chip and stain

I've never had any troubles with these knives
After reading your review I think you didn't understand how to use and care for the knives. If yours became stained and chipped quickly, you did not use it carefully. I've had several for three years now and use them all regularly. And they still look like new and very sharp.

I love this knive
I've had this knife for over 5 years. Never chipped or stained. Of course, I don't leave it in sauce and I hand wash it because I use it so often. Also have the paring knife size and it also is in perfect condition. Maybe if you use it for target practice or drop it on ceramic tile, it probably would chip, but mine are perfect. I love them
