Best knives ....Great investment
June 7, 2009
I bought the Wusthof Ikon blackwood knives over ayear ago and they are great. Well worth the price.. I use them regularly and they still look like new. No other knives compare to this brand. I recommend buying the set and add pieces if you can afford it, but if you can't afford the set for sure buy the Santoku knives . Tip: Do NOT put them in your dishwaser. Wash them by hand.

Good grief it's sharp
March 19, 2009
This knife is amazing. I test-drove it on a clove of garlic as soon as I got home from W-S and it performed as well as I'd hoped. The garlic slices were paper thin and then it minced effortlessly. My only complaint is that it's a little light which presented some stability problems for me. That was, however, easily fixed with a simple change of my regular grip.
Definitely recommend this knife to any serious home cook. It's a good investment.
