Works as Advertised

As yet, I've only used it on carrots and cucumbers but it worked quite successfully on those. The cutting edges are sharp and cut smoothly. I've given it 4 stars instead of 5 because I find this style of julienne peeler, which seems to be universal, somewhat clumsy to use.

Not a good peeler for papaya shaped foods

I ordered this WMF Julienne Peeler , 7 of them, to use and give away as gifts because I thought the metal would work better than our plastic models that we use to shred papaya for green papaya Thai salad that we make quite often.
This peeler is constantly getting clogged with the peels and then takes up time being unclogged....very frustrating ! I'm back to using the plastic peelers with much more success and speed !

It does what it is intended to do. A bit boxy but I knew that prior to purchasing. Sharp and makes nice julienned vegies.
