Life in the kitchen is easier when you use the right tool for the task. A foolproof way to open a bottle of wine, our sturdy stainless-steel corkscrew couldn't be simpler to use. Just position the opener over a bottle of wine, twist the top handle to raise the winged levers on either side, then push down on the levers to extract the cork. Part of our exclusive Open Kitchen collection, designed and developed by Williams-Sonoma. Made of durable stainless steel.

Love this.

I was going back to buy one of these for my mother-in-law when I saw this had some bad reviews so I just had to review this. I received one as a wedding gift and it has been wonderful. Never broke a cork and easy to use. It seems well made and heavy duty though not cumbersome or hard to hold at all. I think this is the perfect corkscrew. I think the poor reviews mistakenly reviewed the wrong product or something. This one is great!
Pros: Appearance, Durable, Easy to Clean, Good for Entertaining, Quality, Weight

flimsy, light weigt

Purchased a heavy duty winged corkscrew years ago from WS and loved it. This one looks good but is lighter and kind of flimsy. Don't think it was lasst 1/2 as long as the old one.
Pros: Design
Cons: Not Durable

Go with a waiter's corkscrew instead
September 10, 2014
I use a waiter's corkscrew but my fiancé likes the winged corkscrews better so I put one on our registry. This one is so heavy and it broke two corks. I will definitely be returning it and teaching him how to use the waiter's corkscrew (which are recommended by wine/food industry professionals).
Cons: Weight, Design

Easy to Use
June 7, 2014
I was looking for a good metal wine opener. I found it. In fact it is so well made and easy to use, I purchased Three of them. I gave one of my five sisters one for her birthday. When the others say it and tried it, they wanted one also.
It has a good feel and removes the cork in one piece; even from older bottles with dry corks.
Pros: Durable, Quality, Balance, Easy to Clean, Easy to Store, Size, Appearance, Weight
