Grand Cuisine Jacquard Towels, Set of 2

In celebration of our heritage, we partnered with our venerable long-time linen maker to create these special signature towels. The century-old Russian company jacquard weaves the fabric with our world-famous intertwined "GC" (Grande Cuisine) logo, using yarn-dyed pure cotton for a classic look and exceptional durability. Smooth, absorbent lint-free cotton towels are ideal for everyday kitchen tasks as well as drying fine glassware. Displays Williams Sonoma "GC" logo jacquard woven against a black, green, or flax background. Made for us by a Russian textile company that has been famous for fine linens since 1897. Finished with a hanging loop. Machine-wash. Set of two.

Love these towels

True, there is no hanging loop, but these are great drying towels. They are tightly woven -hence just slightly stiff (yet fold easily) and very absorbent first swipe. Leave no lint. I love the Russian mill products and was happy to find more towels made there.
Pros: Durable, Quality

Based on the photo and the product description, I was very excited to use these towels in my newly remodeled kitchen. Instead of "smooth, absorbent lint-free cotton towels" they are very stiff and cheap feeling. The description stated "finished with a hanging loop" and this detail was important to me but there is none to be found. The size and look of these towels are nice but the quality falls short of what I have come to expect from Williams-Sonoma. They are not worth the price.
Pros: Size, Design
Cons: Quality, no hanging loop stiff

judging quality
The most expensive (and highest rated) towels on this site are the Calias stripe towels in 100% linen which has that crisp finish you don't seem to like. They do soften after washing and are really made from a different material than these cotton towels, and they are the most lint-free. If you want something to dry crystal, linen is what you want. I would never go bad to ordinary cotton.
