A very thick, heavy duty potholder!
April 22, 2013
I ordered these potholders in black for our 5th Wheel. They are very well made and nice. I gave them only 4 stars because they are so large that they are almost awkward to use and I have very large hands for a woman. I was also disappointed in the cream terry lining and backing as it leaves lint all over the black!!!!!
Pros: Quality, Assembly, Weight
Cons: Difficult to Use, Size, cream terry cloth lining and backing a poor choice

where are the pink color pot holders?
March 14, 2013
I have used mine for years and they hold up well and keep your hands well protected. They show such a pretty spring pink color to tease you with, where are the pink ones? Back order maybe?

No more burned fingers!
March 11, 2013
Very nice. I was concerned about some of the reviews saying they fell apart after washing. I just washed mine and they came out fine. They were a little large for my hands, I would have liked them a little smaller. But I'm going to buy another set.

very disappointed
December 30, 2012
I purchased these along with the holiday towels which I really like. However, they are very bulky making it impossible to get a good grip on a hot pan or pot. In addition, after washing, the terry is loaded with pills. I picked them all off but alas I would never purchase again. Is this to be a task every time I wash? They also shruck (washed as directed) and now look quite rumpled. Directions say to iron as necessary - now really - who irons potholders!
Pros: Assembly
Cons: Difficult to Use, Quality, durability

Pretty but not pratical
October 15, 2012
I bought this because the light blue colour appealed to me and I wanted to have it in my kitchen.
It is very impractical however, because it is clumsy to use and I cannot get a good grip. I keep worrying I will drop something.
I use it to just lie around and perhaps put something warm on, but I don't think this is practical for holding pots.
Pros: Easy to Clean
Cons: Difficult to Use

Made in USA!!!

A great pot holder - wish they carried "made in USA" in the local store. Superior to any of the others I could find that were made overseas, esp China.

Quality Potholder!
July 17, 2012
Nice big size, I've used this type of potholder, and I like William Sonoma's the best. Generous grasp; keeps the heat of the cooking pot away from my hand --- just what it should do! And, I really appreciate the quality of Williams Sonoma's products - well made.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Quality, Easy to Clean, Design, Assembly, Weight, generous size

Attractive, but not enough protection
July 1, 2012
Used to my silicon backed pot holders which were beginning to wear thin and raggedy after years of use, I bought these pot holders in the red color. They are beautiful. But I was quite surprised at the amount of heat which went through the pot holder whereas I did not have that issue at all with my silicon backed holders. The same things were being pulled out of the oven or carted and these holders let through a scary amount of heat. I really don't trust them after having felt no heat with the silicon holders.
Sorry, I wanted to love you. You are beautiful pot holders, but function is absolutely more important. When safety is thrown in the mix, you really lose. I can't chance using you and will say good-bye the second you are replaced with ones like I used to love......
Pros: pretty to look at...
Cons: Difficult to Use, Unreliable

Well-insulated mitts at a great price.
January 4, 2012
First, I want to say that I love these, despite their drawbacks. I will still buy more to replace the old ones. Two things I found disappointing, they shrink considerably when washed and dried, and secondly, the stitching around the loop of one came apart the first time washed. They're reasonably priced, so I will replace, but if it happens again, I will update my review.
Pros: Easy to Clean, Design, Weight
Cons: durability

Best Pot Holders
December 31, 2011
I have had many pot holders and by far these are the best. They are very thick, large, and are easy to clean by throwing them in the wash. I highly recommend them.

I love these!
October 26, 2011
I just ordered one more for myself(I have four now) and two as a gift. These work just great and I love the colors. I also love the fact that they are American made.
I remember seeing one comment about the size. They do shrink a little after they are washed. For me, this is a good thing.
They make a great addition to a gift.

unmatched quality
August 13, 2011
I am purchasing my second pair of these mits today. My first pair, three years old, is still functionally perfect but boy do I give them a workout! Since I need to put them in the laundry today, I thought,,,,how am I going to cook without them until they are dry? So I am buying a backup pair (in the beautiful seasonal pumpkin color!) so I can have a set to swap in. I shopped at my local gourmet cookware retailer recently and their offerings were so marginal....compared to the Williams Sonoma. Thank you Williams Sonoma for bringing us the best, in quality, and design!

THE BEST Potholders EVER!
July 9, 2011
Once I used my first Williams-Sonoma Pot Holder, I've never had another!
I LOVE these pot holders. The quality is so good. You will notice the difference immediately. Unlike any pot holder you've used in the past.
Buy some for you and for gifts for others.
You'll all be hooked! Enjoy!

Take note of the dimensions
June 30, 2011
I searched everywhere for square pot holders and had a hard time finding ones I liked. I was really excited to find these at WS, but was a little disappointed when they arrived...they are H-U-G-E! I see now that the dimensions are clearly listed, but I would recommend to get out the tape measure and truly see how large these will be on your hand. Also, the back side is terry cloth, not the color you purchase.
Pros: Design

just wait....
I thought the same thing when I received mine. However, after several washings/dryings, they definitely shrunk!
