Try the Williams-Sonoma Fish Spatula.
It is very thin and flexible; perfect for delicate foods.
I personally have not used it for pies before, but you can give it a shot,
If it doesn't work out, Williams-Sonoma has a good return policy anyway.

Not specific as to why this person likes it
I was looking for a short handled flexible (very thin) spatula that is very useful for getting pie slices out of the plate without mutilating them. The so-called pie spatulas are inflexible and do not get under the rim of the pie plate. I cannot tell if this product specifically did that from the review. Oddly, I bought this wooden handled one years ago from W-S but they no longer sell it.
