Sweeten your springtime festivities with our adorable artisan-made bunny truffles. They're filled with buttery caramel that has been slow-cooked in an traditional copper kettle. Once cooled, the caramel is cloaked in a shell of Belgian milk or dark chocolate and finished with a sprinkling of Brazilian sea salt. Made for us by Le Belge Chocolatiers in the Napa Valley, the bite-size confections make lovely treasures for an Easter basket or a special treat to share at home. I was really excited to receive these, but they ended up being a disappointment.
I'm not sure why these are called truffes. They are thin chocolate shells filled with a liquid caramel.
I didn't care for them at all. The chocolate did not seem to be of a good quality. Also, the caramel tasted like one you could buy at a candy-making supply store, not like homemade at all.
They also tasted too salty.
