Washugyu(TM) Filet Mignon, Set of 2

Cut from the beef tenderloin, filets mignons are the most tender of steaks. These, from Oregon-based Yamaya, are also supremely flavorful, needing nothing more than a sprinkle with salt and pepper before cooking. This luxurious Kobe-style beef has more marbling than conventional filet mignon, which makes it extraordinarily juicy and succulent with a buttery texture that's never grainy. Two hand-cut 1"-thick filets; 8 oz. each. Shipped fresh. Product of USA.

This meat is a fraud
December 25, 2011
The two steaks that arrived were about 1/2 inch thick and someone had to be joking to call these cuts of meat Filet Mignon - and for $40 each; they were the two toughest pieces of meat I ever had to cut through and then chew on - over and over.
What a major disappointment for a Christmas dinner.
Cons: Disappointing, Texture, Flavor

So not worth it.
November 16, 2011
I bought this steaks for a special occasion and was so disappointed when I opened them to find that were only about 1 1/2 in thick instead of the 2 to 2 1/2 in thick that they bragged about.
Pros: Quality
Cons: Disappointing, not even 2" thick
