Waring 60th Anniversary Blender

This 60th-anniversary blender is modeled after the early Waring styles, with the addition of a pulse button for maximum control. The original Miracle Mixer became a fixture in restaurants and bars across America and is now a coveted household appliance for the home chef. In addition to mixing drinks, the blender is excellent for crushing ice. It operates at two speeds and has a glass container. Powerful motor efficiently blends drinks or crushes ice. Cloverleaf design of glass pitcher creates a vortex for faster, thorough blending. Glass pitcher, marked with graduated measurements, holds a generous 40 fl. oz. Integral stainless-steel blades. Rubber lid has removable insert for adding ingredients. Heavy, stable base has brushed-chrome finish. 390W. 7" diam., 15 1/2" high. A Williams-Sonoma exclusive.

Attractive retro style blender
December 4, 2012
I've owned this exact model for about five years and it still looks and works like it did the day I bought it. This blender makes great smoothies, blends very effectively and cleans up in a snap. I also love its retro good looks and that it is still made in the USA. It's been very durable and reliable.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Quality, Time-saver, Power, Easy to Clean, Easy to Store, Size, Speed, Versatile, Design

Waring Pro, breaks fast
December 3, 2012
I had heard about how wonderful Waring Pro was, but was sorely dissappointed. After about 10 uses of this blender in a normal/proper setting (i.e. I was following the directions), the nut holding the blade in place has somehow gotten stripped and the blade no longer spins when turned on.
I was very dissappointed in this because it is an expensive blender. Frankly, you are better off buying a $15 drugstore blender.
Cons: Quality, Fragile
Response from Williams-Sonomaby Emily, Electrics BuyerDecember 4, 2012
Hi gkuncch,
I’m really sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with your Waring blender. It sounds like you might have a defective product. I’m not sure whether you purchased your blender at Williams-Sonoma, since we only started selling it very recently, but if you did purchase it from us, please bring it back to your nearest store so that we can give you a replacement. Under our return policy, a defective product can be exchanged or returned for store credit at any time. If you purchased your blender at another retailer, hopefully they have a similar policy. If they do not, I would encourage you to reach out to Waring directly to arrange for a replacement. Waring’s customer care center contact number is 1-877-798-7776 and they are available Monday through Friday, 8am to 8pm EST.
