25-Year Barrel-Aged Balsamic Vinegar
A quarter of a century of traditional aging gives this ultra-versatile condiment an intense, complex flavor. Balsamic vinegars like this one are among the most prized of Italian elixirs, crafted from the pure wine must (unfermented grape juice) of white Trebbiano grapes, which is aged in wooden barrels according to time-honored techniques. From Modena, Italy, ours is made by slowly simmering the grapes in copper cauldrons, then combining the reduction with older balsamic vinegar to help speed acidification. The blend is transferred to oak barrels, which imbue the aged vinegar with rich aroma, flavor and color. 15.5 oz. Made in Italy. A Williams-Sonoma exclusive.

Great stuff, and at this price I'm not afraid to use it more liberally than I have with more "exclusive" brands. Tomatoes, Ice Cream, Strawberries, Straight from the spoon.

I agree with all of the other reviews. This balsamic is an excellent product and well worth the price. In fact, it is a bargain. We enjoy this balsamic all year round, but especially love it during the summer when produce is at its peak. Lovely on all types of salads, sandwiches, and even pizza, and of course to be used as a dip for a crusty hot piece of bread- this is some delicious stuff. Highly recommend.

Great Value and Taste

For the price, this is a great deal. This vinegar is thick, flavourful, dense and sweet. It fantastic to dip bread into, add to sauces and dishes or drizzle over grilled fruit.
My only issue with this is that whilst it is quite flavourful and sweet, it is missing the tangy punch of a younger vinegar. Sometimes, depending on the dish, I combine this balsamic with a slightly younger balsamic with more bite.
Overall, really nice and I have gotten several family members and friends hooked on this.

Sweet, tart and full-bodied, I have purchased the $150/bottle aged balsamic and believe that this is the closest flavor I have found to that one- without spending the money. Also, this bottle is quite large (not 100ml like the other one) and lasts a long time. Have purchased several now and will continue to use this as the only balsamic in my kitchen!

What is the binding definition of 25 year old balsamic? If you are expecting the good consortium grade stuff you will be sorely disappointed in this slimey sweet brew, lacking

Learned about this through a website called a colorful plate that described it as liquid gold. They couldn't be more accruate. It is incredible. We put it on everything. I got a bottle for my mom and she refuses to share it with guests! She gives them the cheap stuff when they come over and keeps it all to herself.

This is by far the best balsamic vinegar that I have bought within the US stores. It is rich, thick and creamy and is perfect for a arugula salad topped with Parmesan cheese. I have bought this for gifts for family and friends and everyone is amazed by it! It is so good, I could drink it!!!!

This is my second bottle of this balsamic vinegar and it is just delicious! I even have a gourmet olive oil and vinegar store in my neighborhood but I buy this. You could eat it with a spoon!!

I use this balsamic with the olio santo olive oil and the caramelized shallot as a salad dressing. Gets rave reviews. Just put the oil, balsamic and caramelized shallot in a blender or food processor with salt and pepper and voila! Healthy, delicious, easy. Great on roasted veggies too.

I have tasted many much more costly, as well as many for significantly less. All the many I have sampled or purchased do not compare to this 25 Year Barrel Aged

At first it seems like a lot of money to spend on a bottle of balsamic vinegar until you put it into perspective and realize you wouldn't think twice about spending that money on a bottle of wine, which disappears by the end of a meal. This balsamic vinegar, on the other hand, lasts much longer, and turns an ordinary salad, gourmet. When I ask my family if they have a vinegar request for our nightly salad, they unanimously respond with this one!

This is the BEST balsamic vinegar out there, especially at the price. It is said time and time again, the better ingredients you use, the better your cooking will be! This is fantastic for cooking, in salad dressings and as a dip for bread. I literally drink it right out of the bottle. It is thick, syrupy and just the right balance of sweet and tangy. It is everything balsamic vinegar should be. I have bought countless bottles of this and usually buy two at a time since the closest Williams Sonoma store is 4 hours away! I've converted my mom and sister-in-law to use only by this balsamic! Buy this, you won't be disappointed.
