Vintage Small Round Footed Platter
Repurposed wood finds new life in our pine footed platter - a memorable addition to casual table settings. Use the board underneath a serving dish or casserole to protect surfaces from heat - or on its own as a rustic presentation piece. It's handcrafted by Hungarian artisans, who use timber salvaged from 19th-century buildings in Central Europe. The eco-friendly wood is carefully matched and finished to create a one-of-a-kind work of functional art. Occasionally rub with a food-safe mineral oil to keep wood from drying out. 16" diam.; 3 1/2" high. Hand wash. A Williams-Sonoma exclusive.

I absolutely love this vintage serving board. I have been looking for one for a while. I ordered one from a WS on the
East coast and when it arrived it had a notch (I guess it was a natural part in the wood) along the circumference which bothered me. Food esprecially
cheeses could get trapped there. Nevertheless, I returned it to a WS store and was not credited for the shipping!
In the meantime I ordered another one
on the internet. This one is quite similar to the one pictured. I have since contacted WS concerning the credit and
the problem was resolved. My advice:
if you wish to purchase this item it's best
to buy it at a WS retail store so you can see what you are getting.
The board is great as a centerpiece to display a bouquet or a candle, salt and pepper shakers. Can't wait to use it for entertaining!

Pros: it's beautifully finished
Cons: it might be too dark if you are used to light fini

Vintage Character at its best!

This is beautiful if you like a vintage rustic look. I have mine on my kitchen table with my salt/pepper grinder and other table accessories. It looks beautiful. It's heavy and very well-made.
