Villa Cappelli Taralli Crackers
Taralli are crisp loop-shaped bread crackers enjoyed as a snack or appetizer in the Puglia region of southern Italy. To make them, wheat-flour dough is mixed with warmed extra-virgin olive oil and optional additions such as fennel seeds, then rolled out, shaped into rings and boiled before baking. We offer two varieties of taralli produced at an olive oil estate in Puglia-both are excellent companions to wine and cheese. Crunchy golden crackers with the rich, buttery flavor of extra-virgin olive oil. Similar in texture to a breadstick or pretzel. Made with Villa Cappelli extra-virgin olive oil, a certified DOP (protected origin) olive oil from Puglia. Serve as an accompaniment to cheese platters, wine and beer. Also ideal for dipping in soft cheese, pesto or sun-dried tomato spread. Extra-Virgin Olive Oil: Buttery with a rich extra-virgin olive oil taste. Fennel: Extra-virgin olive oil taste and subtle fennel flavor. 8.8 oz. Made in Italy.
