The distinctive tri-colored bristles of this Italian broom are soft, natural horsehair, ideal for capturing dust and dirt without scratching wood floors. Made for us by an Italian family-owned company that has specialized in fine cleaning tools since 1950. Soft horsehair bristles naturally attract and retain dust for effortless cleaning. Rubber bumpers cushion furniture and cabinets from scratches and marks. Strong beechwood handle. Suitable for all types of floors. A Williams-Sonoma exclusive.

Great boar hair broom
July 3, 2013
My broom arrived today, and it looks beautiful and works great! Do know, though, that this is made from boar hair, not horse hair. ;) The packaging came with a picture of a boar and a bunch of Italian writing... and I started to wonder. I used an Internet translator for the Italian, and sure enough, this is boar hair. The boar hair is nice and soft, and I'm sure it works just as well as horse hair. I'm happy with my purchase.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Quality, Easy to Clean, Design

perfect broom
November 12, 2012
I wish I had had this broom all my life. It would make a wonderful shower present. The horsehair is very fine and flexible unlike other horsehair brooms (it's almost like bow hair). The straight grained handle is extra long, and angled so that it can be used as a push or regular broom, and the width is just right, much more flexible than those irritating flex brooms. It's easy to take care of cobwebs and moldings as you go. It sweeps up fine dog hair and dust thoroughly and seems to attract dust like a dust mop, but it's much easier to handle. Wonderful for wood and tile floors (probably too flexible for a porch broom though). Absolutely worth the cost.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Quality, Easy to Clean, Size, Versatile, Design, Assembly, Weight

Best Broom
October 24, 2012
I got tired of cheap brooms that got "split ends" after a little use. I have a hand sculpted wood floor, so there are little grooves and joints that I need the broom to get in. The usual cheap ones weren't working so well. I have been really happy with this broom. It's nice and soft, and seems to do a nice job. It got it's ultimate test today when my son dropped a glass plate that broke and went EVERYWHERE. It worked really well collecting all that glass out of the grooves and joints in the floor. Also, the rubber bumper on it is great if your children help with the sweeping.
Pros: Durable, Quality, Design
Cons: Assembly
