Now you can savor freshly made croissants warm from the oven anytime. Once a month for three months, we'll deliver chef Jean-Yves Charon's authentic croissants to your door. The puff pastry is prepared in the traditional style, using butter and ultrathin layers of yeast dough, laboriously folded and refolded, cut and shaped by hand. Preparing them is simple: After the frozen croissants thaw, let them rise, then bake and voila: warm flaky croissants. Shipped frozen. Made in USA. A Williams-Sonoma exclusive. Month 1 (Delivery between August 6, 2013 and August 16, 2013) Butter Croissants: Traditional puff pastry made with butter and yeast dough, repeatedly rolling and folding it by hand. Set of 12. I bought these croissants as a Christmas gift for my mom. She loves them! Great taste and huge portion size. She can't wait to receive the chocolate ones next month.

These croissants are even better than those in Paris--their quality is invariably excellent. Unfortunately, the company cannot make provision for a "start" date that is other than immediately, so if you place the order as a Christmas gift, the first batch will arrive about three days after you place the order--no exceptions. That meant my niece was not at home to receive them, as she was away on Christmas break--as many people are. There should be a provision for when you want the order to start.

while i've had wonderfully full & risen croissants from williams-sonoma in the past, my first batch in december did not rise & so they cooked as dense croissants. i was most disappointed, hoping that next month's shipment will rise. saddened, chella

They may look small frozen....

The croissants don't look like much when frozen, but be sure to leave plenty of space in between because they increase in size about 5-fold during the thawing and rising stages. Don't cover these overnight, either - I had a towel stick to them.
We had the minis, the chocolate and the big ones.
I loved the intensity of the chocolate croissants. The minis are the perfect size for kids and the regular ones are huge.
Buttery, flaky and wonderful.
A great gift. I gave these to my brother who lives in Eastern Oregon on a ranch miles from anywhere. His wife especially loved them. They don't have access to a bakery - unless they drive four hours into town. So, these gave them something they would have never given themselves and the girls all loved it!

Great gift idea

This is the second purchase of the 3 months of croissants we have purchased for a gift for my 90 year old mother in law,she absoulutely LOVES LOVES LOVES them. I have not tried them personally but my mother in law is from a "food background" and is a little bit finicky. She tells us how they come and she prepares them and eats them "warm" I think her favorite is the chocolate. I would absolutely recommend as a gift or purchase for yourself.

I had purchased this as a gift for my mother after she had lamented, "I cannot find any croissants that I like since having had been to Paris." I had done some research online, and it seemed that others who had purchased these had experienced similar dilemmas. She has only received the first month's delivery and is anxiously awaiting the next two. I myself tried one (as she was only willing to part with one), and it was exceptional...and certainly much more cost-effective than another European trip!

I love the croissants. My daughter-in-law went to Paris and these are the first croissant that taste as good a the ones she had in Paris. They are so good you want to eat them all but don't because then you wouldn't have any more to enjoy.

Flaky goodness

I have just purchased my second round for my parents. At first they were unsure about them - "gee thanks for the rolls". Then I had the great pleasure to be with them when the chocolate croisants arrived. They never made it to the freezer. We left them out overnight to thaw, proofed for the day, then baked. We had 12 happy campers that left the sun and fun on the lake when the smell wafted down to them. Mom didn't just hint, but asked for a repeat this year! Successful present for the woman who has everything.

This is my first time ordering these croissants. I was a bit wary at first but read the reviews and thought I would give them a try. And am I ever so glad I did! These are simply great. I had no trouble getting them to rise. They baked so light and flaky that I could imagine being in France at a real french bakery eating warm croisannt and coffee. This was my best gift to myself. They would make an excellant present to anyone as well. Now that I know how great they are I will be ordering them again. Have you thought about making them available for longer than just 3 months at time?

Just like breakfast in France, again

We exchanged houses in a little village in the Cotes de Rhone. Every morning I would go to the bakery in the village center (every village in France has a bakery) and bring home croissants for breakfast. Eating your wonderful croissants and we drift back to those great memories.

As this was a gift of three months Crossants, very surprised that the person was not advised that this was for three months. The first moth arrived and there was nothing noted in packaging that this was a three month gift. Very embarrising!!

The croissants were touted by a friend and I was persuaded to buy them. I couldn’t choose between the different types, so when Williams-Sonoma offered all 3 that could be purchased to be delivered in increments, I could not refuse (my freezer is very small).
The smell coming from my kitchen was phenomenal! They were every bit as good as promised and I will definitely buy more!

These croissants were a gift to our daughter and her husband. They live in the Washington D.C. area and have access to a grand assortment of foods and fine restaurants plus our daughter is a gourmet cook. She calls the croissants ..."the finest and best croissants she has ever eaten." You should be proud of the product.
