The cake is infused with hand-ground cinnamon and ginger for a bold flavor. Lightly poached halved Bosc pears are first arranged in a circle in a cake pan, then the spice-infused batter is poured over the top. When baked, the pears become lightly caramelized and are revealed in a beautiful design on top of the cake when it is unmolded and inverted. 9" diam., 2" high (serves 8-10). Shipped frozen.
