Tacolicious Guajillo Braising Sauce

San Francisco's Tacolicious isn't your average taqueria. Inspired by the world-class restaurants in Mexico City, it uses market-fresh, sustainable ingredients to bring home an authentic taste of Mexico. Case in point: this braising sauce gets its lively personality from a rich, savory combo of guajillo, morita and ancho chiles, highlighted by Texan bock beer, caramelized onions and spices. For a memorable meal, just simmer the sauce with browned short ribs, then serve with warm tortillas and taco toppings or steamed rice. 16 oz. Made in USA.

Easy and spicy good

Flavor was great. More spicy than I thought. Used with recipe recommended. Served with warm corn tortilla, chopped onions, cilantro, fresh chopped tomatos and lots of cheese. Ignore the "add salt and pepper" to meat. Sauce is quite salty. Good for adults. Too spicy for children. Will buy again.
Pros: Easy to Prepare, Authentic, Good for Entertaining, Flavor
Cons: salty

A few weeks ago I made a sauce for a pork dish using what I thought may be the same ingredients as this sauce. It was delicious and definitely something I would do again. When I saw this sauce in WS I wondered how similar it would be to the one I had made. It was pretty much the same. Unlike a lot of jar sauces it wasn't heavy on the salt nor did it have any funky chemical aftertaste. It would/will be a great pantry favorite for a quick sauce and will be excellent in the slow cooker with some boneless pork ribs.
Pros: Texture, Amount, Easy to Prepare, Authentic, Quality, Good for Entertaining, Time-saver, Flavor
