Baobab Flatware Place Setting

Softly rounded edges and a strong, broad profile lend this flatware a contemporary feel inspired by the Baobab tree, which grows in Africa. Our three-piece settings are ideal for everyday dining. Fork and spoon are made of 18/0 stainless steel. Knife is made of 13/0 stainless steel. Knife is finely serrated on the back of the blade. Hand polished to a mirror finish. Weighty and well balanced in the hand. Dishwasher safe. Knife, fork, and spoon are marked with "Studio William Stainless" logo. Designed by Studio William, founded in England by award-winning flatware designer William Welch.

Strange Size Spoon - Quality Could Be Better
March 25, 2015
I purchase a set of 5 of these for every day use. I liked the modern design and had high hopes. When I received them, I discovered the spoon is enormous and looks out of balance next to the fork. It would be better suited for serving than for eating from. The size is not practical and looks rather strange. Overall, the set looks better in the photograph and is a bit underwhelming in person. The quality could be better for the price; I have found that most things on William Sonoma are way overpriced, even when on sale. I would have expected the packaging to be nicer as well. Many of the silverwear sets had fallen out of the beat-up-looking individual boxes. The looked like they were shipped directly from a factory. Not the presentation I would expect form William Sonoma.
Pros: Durable
Cons: Quality, Design, Size

Perfectly designed flatware
February 27, 2015
I was looking for a new set of flatware in a three-piece place setting. I have no use for salad forks or teaspoons. They just take up room in my already-crowded drawer. It had to have a good spoon that could be used for soup or for serving but small enough to be mouth-sized. It had to have a balanced knife with a serrated edge. And it had to have a well-designed fork. This flatware fits the bill. It is heavy and balanced in the hand, and beautifully finished with a lovely shine. I am VERY pleased with this pattern. Now that it is on sale, I will be buying more.
