Stoneware Onion Pot

The traditional design of this French terra-cotta onion pot helps keep freshly harvested onions and garlic fresh and easily accessible for kitchen use. Holes in the pot sides allow limited aeration to the bulbs inside, preventing mold and decay. Made of high-fired clay by the Renault family, who has been crafting stoneware in France for 5 generations. Traditional aerated French onion pot for storing onions and garlic. High-temperature-fired for durability. Finished and glazed by hand. Keep pot in cool, dark, and dry location for best results. Water-tight, food-safe, and BPA-free. Crafted in pottery workshop established in 1847. 8" x 8" x 6 1/2". Made in France.

not the dimensions quoted

Nicely made and neutral enough for most decors, but NOT the dimensions quoted. You can store a head of garlic and one or two small onions or that same garlic and 3 moderate-sized shallots, but nothing more or bigger. It actually is a 4 3/4" diameter cylindrical pot that is 5 3/4" tall. The small handles stick out to make its widest point 6" wide. Will keep but was hoping for something a little larger than the garlic keeper I already had.
Pros: Quality, Design
Cons: Size
