Created by the Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture in upstate New York, this concentrated compost is used to grow the gorgeous vegetables and fruits served in chef Dan Barber's acclaimed Blue Hill at Stone Barns restaurant. The premium amendment is rich with the positive microbes that nourish naturally healthy, fertile soil. Created by the Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture for use in their own gardens and fields. Sale of this product supports the nonprofit center's farming and education programs. Helps to restore the beneficial fungal and bacterial organisms that chemical and salt-based fertilizers can strip from soil. Encourages the natural ability of plants to resist insects and disease. Helps soil and plants retain moisture so you can water less. Made from all-natural materials, sourced from Stone Barns' own farming community, including manures, green manures and leaves.
