Handy and well made
November 28, 2015
The French have a term for lining up the items used in recipe before the actual prep work beings, which escapes me at the moment, but these little bowls are handy for that task. Just this morning I made a pie that called for bourbon and vanilla, some mixed spices , and a small amount of flour, which were to be added at various stages. These work well for that kind of thing. I have also used them to mix small amounts of thickener (corn starch or flour) with water before adding to sauces or gravy.
They are sturdy, don't take up much storage space, and wash in the dishwasher. The lids I received seem to stay on OK, but I haven't used them much and have not tried running the lids through the dishwasher.
I wasn't sure if I would like the little "lip" around the top of the bowls, but in use I have found the lip provides something to hold onto without sticking ones fingers all the way into the bowl.
Pros: Easy to Clean, Durable, Design, Size, Quality, Easy to Store

Perfect for Baking
September 3, 2015
I use these small prep bowls strictly for baking. I own the large mixing set and use these for adding lesser amounts of ingredients called for in a recipe. These are such a nice pairing with the large mixing bowl set. Having the right baking tools makes baking such a joy, it is a passion of mine.
I have not had an issue with the lids but I must preference that statement with the fact that I don't store in these bowls and I don't run any of them nor the lids in a dishwasher. The only time I use the lids is to cover something during mixing/baking prep.
Pros: Easy to Use, Easy to Clean, Durable, Versatile, Design, Size, Quality, Weight, Easy to Store, Time-saver
Cons: none

Great prep bowels
January 24, 2013
Good quality prep bowels. Holds a good amount of food for the small to medium amounts of ingredients required for a recipe. Fan stack on top of each other for reat storage in the refrigerator. Only problem I have is the lids are hard to get on, tight fit. Still purchased another set after bringing the first set home and using them for awhile.
