Spooky Halloween 3-Way Pancake Molds, Set of 3

Cast an enchanting spell over breakfast or brunch with pancakes in Halloween's spookiest shapes. The only tricks you'll need to create these tempting treats are our haunting hotcake molds. Use them to make perfect pancakes three ways: two-toned, mini or cut-out. Our set includes easy-to-use nonstick molds in a trio of spooky shapes: ghost, bat and cat. Just place molds, handles up, on a preheated griddle, then pour in your batter. After the first side of each pancake has cooked, remove the molds and flip the pancakes. For a two-toned effect, add batter to the inside of the mold first, let it cook for about a minute, then add batter to the rest of the mold. Make mini pancakes by filling only the center of the mold - or create cut-out designs by only filling the outer area. Handles fold down for compact storage; nonstick surface makes cleaning a breeze. 5 1/2" diam. Made in China. A Williams-Sonoma exclusive.

A-wait for it-dorable

These suckers are super cute. I have this set and the Star Wars set (the one with Yoda so I can make green Yoda pancakes) and they are super simple to use. One thing to note is that even though they appear to be non-stick, you still need to grease them. Instead of the whole mess of brushes and butter/oil, i just use nonstick spray and it works like magic.
As for the cleaning, you do have an added step but I just toss them in the pancake batter bowl and let it all soak while I enjoy the cuteness.
One tip - try using a disposable ziploc bag for the batter instead of the pancake pen to cut down on the washing.
Pros: Easy to Use
Cons: Difficult to Clean

Fun Pancakes

Using these molds do take more time to make pancakes than if you just dump them into the pan, as the other reviewer stated, but so does decorating a cake rather than just smearing frosting on it. It just depends on what you feel like doing. I like my set. They are the Star Wars ones sold on this site and I have a good time every time I get them out!
Pros: great outcome
Cons: takes extra time

Waste of time
November 3, 2012
Have to spend an hour with the help of lot of extra kitchen tools and dishes(plastic bottle, bowel of oil to dip mold in,..) plus an hour more to wash all thoes for something that doesn't worth. It might work with their own batter. So low quality product from Williams Sonoma.
Cons: sticky molds

Dont give up!!
These pancake molds can be tricky at first. I didnt like them after the first use but My kids love them once I figure out what I was doing wrong. You have to use cooking spray on them and they work best with the recipe on the package. They come out prefect when u do that. Also make sure u are cooking them on a very flat surface. I have a griddle pan and throught it was flat but at a very close look I noticed a small rasie in the middle of the pan. So I only use a flat griddle now. Hope that helps you some. Good luck!!
