Sonoma Wreath

A family-owned farm in coastal California creates this painterly arrangement of grasses, leaves, herbs and berries. The wreath's wild beauty combines fresh green magnolia leaves with air-dried wheat, curly willow, setaria grass, savory and seeded eucalyptus. Clusters of dried red canella berries add bursts of color to this natural palette. Hang the wreath indoors or use it as a festive centerpiece on your table. Its beauty will last through the holiday season. For decorative use only. 18" diam.

Very fragile
September 23, 2013
I was hesitant to order this wreath as I had doubts about what condition it would be in when received. As somewhat expected, it had a fair number of items that had come dislodged from the wreath (several things of berries, large leaves, a few branches, etc.) and in general needed a decent amount of "fixing" to look ok. But it is definitely not as full as the picture, and I still need to work with it to try to make it look more even but just haven't had the chance. In addition, while I did presume it would be rather fragile, every time I move the wreath or adjust it, it sheds. A note that came with it even says it's best not to move it once hung, which isn't at all how I intended to use it since I really just want it as a fall wreath. I probably would not have purchased it had I realized it's fragility. It's a shame, because it fits perfectly in the space and had it been more durable it would have been a perfect buy.

Anemic, not nearly as pictured
September 5, 2013
I ordered a hydrangea wreath in the past, and it looked beautiful for over a year. The Sonoma Wreath didn't even look nice on arrival, even though the description said it would look good throughout the holidays--I ordered it specifically because of that, to bridge the fall season with the wheat etc into Christmas with the greens and red berries. I expected drying and shedding. But the hydrangea was so full to start with, it was still gorgeous after drying and shedding. The Sonoma, on the other hand, contained hardly any materials in the first place to dry or shed: it was mostly composed of the spindly ingredient. Only 4 large leaves, a berry sprig, and a wheat sprig fell off during shipment, but even sticking those back in left me with an anemic wreath. It was exactly 18" wide, that was accurate. Oh, well. I'll try again with another style. (PS, if you order it anyway, because maybe mine was just an exception, still beware of the stickers as you remove from the box and hang it.)
