A Great Kitchen Basic
July 12, 2012
I have had my full sheet for a couple of years now and have zero complaints.
It's a great, reliable non-stick surface.
Clean up is easy and I store it in the partial box it came in so that it can store upright.
This is one of those items that every cook should have at least one of.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Quality, Easy to Clean, Easy to Store, Size

Only way i make cookies
May 29, 2012
I first bought two of these thinking i would use them for cookies in my half-sheet pans, which it works perfectly at. But, I then discovered all the other uses, crostata, as a liner for a pan to make cleanup easier, etc. I think I find a new uses for these liners every couple of weeks. One negative is that like all silicon items they are heat sensitive so beware of that.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Easy to Clean

Indispensable in the oven
January 15, 2012
I've had my slipat liner for nearly a year now. The first time I used it was to cook some cheddar and garlic biscuits. After I took them out of the oven I was prepared to have to nudge them a bit to get the biscuits off, because even my best non-stick cookware food often needs a bit of encouragement to come off. So imagine my surprise when I simply touched the biscuits with my spatula, they moved along the mat. It was honestly like playing air hockey with my food, and I mean that in the best possible way! Since then I primarily use it for baking, but have also used it to roast fish and the mat doesn't retain the fish smell. And best of all, super easy to clean. Grease just slides off with a bit of soap and water.
Pros: Easy to Use, Quality, Easy to Clean, Easy to Store, Versatile

This Is Great!
November 3, 2011
You can't go wrong with this liner. I also use it to roll out small amounts of fondant when I'm at home and need a non-stick surface. I've given them away as gifts to all my friends. I especially love the full sheet...perfect size!

Great product!!

This is the best protection for your cookie sheets or pans. Everything that overflows onto the sheet just slips right off under the faucet. I LOVE it.

very good quality
January 24, 2011
This product is very well made, but it doesn't fit any of my cookie sheets. I think its because of the variance between our system and the metric system...
I will use it for gnocchi and pie crust mainly since it doesn't quite fit my cookie sheets.
I still like it and will keep it in hopes of eventually finding a cookie sheet that it will fit.

I agree -- Use Parchment
January 3, 2011
I bought one of these to try because I saw them used so much. I don't like it. It has kind of a greasy feeling, the crumbs did not fall off it, and the cookies didn't just slide off it, and I didn't like the feel of it when using a spatula. I much prefer baking parchment -- crumbs and cookies slide right off, and I can reuse one sheet all day, then toss it.

made dough bitter
December 23, 2010
Maybe these are not intended to be in contact with dough for long periods of time? I rolled dough into a large rectangle on this sheet and then folded and sealed it over a mushroom based filling. The item baked for maybe half an hour.
The bottom half of the finished product was inedible--there was a horrid bitter taste infused through the bottom quarter to half inch. I made the recipe before on a regular baking sheet, with delicious results.

Love my silpat
November 10, 2010
I've always had problems with burning my cookies to get them done in the middle but NO MORE. I love my silpat and wouldn't bake without it. I use it for my biscuits too. And they make great gifts.

wonderful perfect cookies
June 12, 2010
Tried these for the first time the other day and they were fabulous. Super simple. Cookies spread evenly and browned evenly. Didn't even need to use or dirty a spatula to remove the cookies since they just slide right off to cooling rack. Washed in warm soapy water and they'll be ready to go again. I saved the cardboard holders they came in and after drying, I rolled them back up and put in the cardboard holders for storage. They take up little room that way and they shouldn't get damaged or poked by anything else. Should also remain clean that way. Wish I had had them years ago when I used to bake alot of cookies. I still feel they are worth the splurge even though they won't get the use now that they would have because they give your baking efforts the professional uniform appearance that we all feel proud to produce at home and share with others.

Wonderful Siplat Cookie Sheet Liners
March 31, 2010
I bought one of these at least two years ago and let it "mature" in the cupboard. After a frustrating morning of trying to persuade a batch of Parmesan Crisps to detach themselves from a so-called non-stick cookie sheet, I remember the Silpat. WHY didn't I remember it earlier? They almost gave themselves up - absolutely NO problem in removing them. Same for cookies - no burning, the heat seems to be constant on the whole sheet. I agree with the comment about them feeling a bit greasy even after cleaning, but it's not enough to turn me off them. I'd recommend these to anyone.

Silpat lifetime is 15 years
February 15, 2010
I purchased two Silpats 15 years ago and I have used the continuously. Nothing sticks to them. They performed well and saved me many pieces of parchment paper and money. They are now so grungy through use and abuse that my wife is buying two more to replace them. I will probably keep the old ones, just in case. I love this product.
