Favorite cooking utensil!
May 23, 2014
I bought the red Williams-Sonoma Silicone Spoonula and it was an immediate hit with me! It quickly became my favorite cooking utensil.
This is my go-to tool for sauteing. The bowl shape makes it great to use to soups and sauces, as well. The flat top allows you to scrape the bottom of a pot or pan. I turn the spoonula upside down to get some really good scraping action going on! Because of this, it is great for scraping up all of the tasty fond while deglazing. Of course you can use a flat whisk, but that is just one more utensil you have to clean later!
This tool is also great when baking! Very helpful for stirring batter and folding dough.
This is just a great all-around tool that every home cook needs in their kitchen!
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Quality, Time-saver, Easy to Clean, Size, Versatile, Design, won't melt on the heat
Cons: need to oil wood to prevent drying

I always reach for this one first
August 31, 2013
I have 6 spoonulas in my caddy, (2 Le Creuset, 2 store bought and 2 WS brand). The 2 Williams Sonoma ones are the ones I reach for first, every time. When I pick this tool up to use it, I have no other thought in my mind other than what I am doing.
With the Le Creuset spoonulas, it is a different story. They are far flimsier than I would expect. When I am picking one of those up, I have to stop and think about what I am going to use them for and whether they will hold up.
Not so with the WS brand. When I reach for these I am fully confident that they will hold up to the job and I appreciate that every time I use them.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Quality, Versatile
