Not "Mutli" Utility...
May 26, 2009
I bought this knife based on other reviews that it could replace your knife set. Was dissapointed... the knife is excellent for some tasks, such as slicing bread, panini, avocado, tomatoes, and grilled chicken, but it was not even close to a chef's knife when cutting onions, and it cannot mince garlic because of the ridges. I returned this item and purchased a less pricey Shun Classic 8" chef knife - which I'm really happy with. If you already have a good knife set, then the multi-utility is a nice addition; but if you are just starting your collection, start with the basics.

My new Favorite Utility knife

This utility knife will just about replace most of my knives. I 'm going to purchase another one for summer home.
It's great.
