Shun Kaji 6" Serrated Utility Knife

From our premium Kaji line by Japan's Shun, this versatile knife blends new technology with centuries-old traditions of handcraftsmanship. Its serrated blade cuts cleanly through tomatoes and other delicate fruits and vegetables without tearing them. It's excellent for bagels and sandwiches too. 65-layer blade features a premium SG-2 powdered steel cutting core clad in 64 layers of forged nickel/stainless steel Damascus. Inspired by centuries-old samurai sword-making techniques, the blade's construction creates a supersharp cutting edge. Serrated blade cuts through delicate foods without tearing or squashing them. Handle is made of moisture-resistant, resin-infused PakkaWood, shaped for comfort and control. This NSF-certified knife meets the high-level safety standards for professional kitchens. Handcrafted in Japan. A Williams-Sonoma exclusive.

Fine Serrated Knife for Light Work
January 28, 2016
I bought this for my father after he expressed a desire for it. After using his, I bought one for myself. I thought it would be redundant as I already owned the Kaji Dual Density Knife, but it still gets a fair amount of use. This is a great little tomato and bun knife. It's thin blade works well for less dense products, but the extremely thin tip could easily bend if misused.
Pros: Easy to Use, Shape, Quality, Size, Weight, Balance, Sharpness
Cons: Fragile
