Easy to use-just soak the roaster in water before placing it inside the oven. Soaking allows the roaster to create and maintain moisture, guaranteeing succulent results. Preheat the filled baker and oven together; after reaching desired temperature, the earthenware conducts heat gently and evenly. Glazed interior; unglazed earthenware exterior will darken naturally with time and use. A tight-fitting cover circulates heat while sealing in juices, flavor and nutrients. Dishwasher safe. Best Clay Baker Ever!

I learned to cook with clay bakers over 20 years ago. Now I will not bake without one. I have also gifted daughters AND daughters-in-law with this clay baker. The method is SO easy, and there are never any surprises when you open the top. Wonderful odors permeate the entire home and everyone cannot wait until the meal is served. I personally own several sizes. Since all the kids are grown and gone with families of their own, I tend to use the smaller clay bakers more often. This is perfect for roasts, chicken, turkeys, vegetables... just soak the lid while putting your edibles in the bottom, cover, and wait for a delicious dinner. NEVER preheat the oven. You will cook at a lower temperature, as well. Everything comes out tender and tasty. I HIGHLY recommend purchasing this super pot!
