Riedel Decanter

The perfect partner for Riedel stemware, this well-priced carafe allows you to aerate wines before serving, enhancing both red and white varietals. Decanting allows older wines achieve full clarity and true color, while young vintages have a chance to open and develop. The lead-crystal carafe is crafted at Riedel's family-owned glassworks in Austria. Hand-wash. 38-oz. cap; 9 1/4" high.

Simple and elegant

We bought this wine decanter for ourselves after gifting one to our parents. It works wonderfully! The neck makes it easy to hold and pour and the size is easily big enough to hold 750mL. The product states that this is a decanter (a vessel used to hold wine) and the description states that it's also a carafe (a vessel used to serve wine). Both descriptions are true.

It's a carafe NOT a decanter

I registered for this and what a disappointment. It BARELY holds a bottle of wine and if you want to swirl to aerate - you cannot with this. It should have been better described on the site - VERY misleading. I will be purchasing the magnum size as it looks more suited for a small dinner party.

Perfect!
I was wanting to find a *small* carafe for small portions of wine. Thanks for your review.
