EASY TO MAKE, GREAT FOR CHRISTMAS

I recently made these as part of my Christmas cookie gifts and they are quite good. Not too sweet, the icing sugar adds just the right touch of sweetness. They're a breeze to mix but it does take a bit of time to roll and shape into crescents. Since these are so delicate, it was a bit hard to roll out into ropes, but none the less I got 42 crescents out of this recipe and my mother loved them and demanded I make more. I've tried Viennese cookies with ground almonds, which are also delicate, but I found these made with walnuts easier to mix and put together.
