Vanilla Bean Iced Coffee

Cold-brewed iced coffee retains more nuanced flavor than coffee brewed hot and allowed to cool. Make the coffee a day before serving so it can brew for at least 12 hours. For the best flavor, use freshly ground coffee. Dark-roasted beans, such as French or Viennese roast, will produce a full-bodied flavor, while medium-roasted beans, such as breakfast or American roast, will yield a less intense flavor.

Use the Toddy Cold Brew System!
July 29, 2011
This is a great recipe but I would recommend using the Toddy Cold Brew System to cold brew the coffee. The Toddy Cold Brew System makes filtering the concentrate much easier than the double straining method described in the recipe which is a pain and often leads to a giant mess (at least it did for me).
Pros: Easy, Will Make Again

Perfect to make and enjoy for quick morning drink!
July 20, 2010
This is delicious! I didn't want to splurge on vanilla beans so instead used 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract and it tasted amazing. Very easy to make and throw together for a quick morning drink. My new starbucks!
