Turkey Burgers with Cranberry Relish

This is Thanksgiving in July: all the right flavors in a summer burger cooked on the grill. Use regular ground turkey, which is a mix of white and dark meat, as ground turkey breast is too lean and bland for good grilling. For the relish, use prepared cranberry sauce from the deli, or use canned whole-berry sauce. Serve with grilled sweet potato fries.

Great recipe.. came out super moist and tasty.. instead of poultry seasoning, I used half Old Bay and half Vegeta.. and for bread crumbs I used half Panko half Italian bread crumbs.. Everyone loved them, will definitely make them again

Perfect for any meal.

The combination of thyme and sage is fantastic. The burgers were a winner the two year old and picky father which means this receipt is a keeper in our household. I didn't have any corn bread cubes and didn't use butter to cook but the burgers still turned out great.

Flavorful and delicious

I made these Turkey Burgers for a group of friends. I did not make the relish. They were very flavorful thanks to the spices. The onion and celery added flavor, texture and interest. One of my friends gasped when she took her first bite it was so surprisingly good. I cooked them on the grill, recommend a heat setting high enough to sear the outside, they will remain tender on the inside. One qualifier, I did not have corn bread so used an equal amount of Panko crumbs instead and red onion instead of white. I will use this combination again. They were very easy to make, the most time consuming task was cooking the onions and celery which you can do ahead of time and assemble the burgers when ready. I was able to throw a second batch together quickly when we needed more than I anticipated. Try these, they are wonderful.
