Much better than store-bought versions!
August 8, 2011
My kids really enjoyed both helping to make these as well as eating them. The recipe is quite good - the toaster pastries taste great and much better than anything that's store-bought. The only reason I didn't rate this 5 stars is that these are quite time-consuming to make.
Pros: Kid-Friendly, Appearance, Will Make Again
Cons: Lengthy

These are great. I love the pastry, and it's super easy and quick to make if you use the food processor. I always sub a bit of vanilla for some of ice water, and I let the dough sit in the fridge overnight. These freeze very well. They are just as good, if not better, when frozen and baked. I've used both homemade cherry and peach preserves and strawberry and blueberry ones bought from WS. My whole family loves these. They are an occasional treat to be sure, with all that butter, but what a treat!
Pros: Kid-Friendly, Appearance, Adaptable, Will Make Again
