Spit-Roasted Piri-Piri Chicken

Piri-piri, which means "pepper-pepper" in Swahili, is a fiery sauce common to the Portuguese-speaking world, from Brazil to Mozambique to Portugal itself. If you live near Portuguese or Hispanic markets, you will probably find vinegar-based piri-piri sauce on the shelves, but you may also substitute Tabasco or any other favorite hot-pepper sauce. In the absence of a rotisserie, this chicken can be cooked on the grill rack.

My favorite rotisserie chicken recipe!
October 16, 2015
I purchased "Williams-Sonoma Essentials of Grilling" years ago and this was one of the first recipes I tried. I was blown away by how delicious it was. If it wasn't for the company I had for dinner that first time I could have easily eaten half the 4 pound chicken (and I'm a 5'2" 105 pound lightweight! I would strongly suggest to everyone that this is one recipe to definitely try...and soon!!
Pros: Healthy, Impressive, Will Make Again, Appearance, absolutely delicious
