I made this trying to find a recipe for a wedding cake I was doing this past December. It came out wonderfully. I skipped the crystalized ginger and nuts, and used pumpkin pie spice for the spices. I added a tiny bit more than I usually do to get the spicy flavor to pop. It came out great, and stayed moist for days. I recommend making it the day before you need it, so the flavors can blend together. It was a hit at the wedding!

This cake is moist and spicy every time -- it is a hit every fall! The recipe is the right size for a standard Bundt pan plus a couple of cupcakes
