Salmon Burgers with Vegetable Slaw

Salmon is among the most prized of all fish, found wild in both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans and in many lakes, and now farmed as well. To grind it for this recipe, cut it into chunks and pulse it in a food processor until ground, taking care not to overprocess. Or ask your fishmonger to grind it for you.

Easy and tasty salmon burger

I haven't made the slaw in this recipe. The salmon burger is great both on the grill or cooked in a pan on the stovetop. It's an easy recipe once you've ground the salmon. I've made the recipe multiple times and have cut down on the shallot by two-thirds or a half, otherwise the shallot is too strong. Don't forget to season with salt when combining the ingredients. Onion rolls are definitely the way to go with the burger. I serve with whole seed mustard, sliced avocado, and provolone (melted on top).
